The collaboration of Jitka Hosprová and brilliant Italian violinist Maurizio Sciarretta brings to life the legendary duo of two Italian giants, violin virtuoso Salvatore Accardo and virtuosic violist Luigi Alberto Bianchi, who taught both musicians the secrets of top-quality interpretive arts.
On various European music festivals, Jitka and Maurizio have jointly performed recitals and also played accompanied by significant Italian orchestras. In spring 2016 in Imola, they performed, among other pieces, the Sinfonia Concertante by W. A. Mozart under the conducting of Vladimir Ashkenazy.
The duo offers both well-known masterpieces for violin and viola, such as the compositions by Alessandro Rolla, Johan Halvorsen and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and premiere performances of pieces for violin and viola from the modern world repertoire.

Jitka Hosprová and Kateřina Englichová met in 2000 while recording the CD Rhapsody for Arco Diva recording company. Apart from solo viola pieces, the album also featured a brilliant recording of B. Britten’s Lachrymae for viola and harp. Later on, the artists added some original, already existing compositions for viola and harp to their joint repertoire, inspiring Czech composers Zdeněk Lukáš, Emil Viklický and Josef Vejvoda to write new works of music.
Jitka’s and Kateřina’s CD Chanso Dans La Nuit, released on Supraphon recording label, features masterpieces of French impressionism, adapted for harp and viola. This repertoire also constitutes their recital Chanson Dans La Nuit, which offers new and original renditions of famous compositions played on different instruments.

The remarkable instrumental combination of three brilliant players, Jitka Hosprová – viola, Ludmila Peterková – clarinet, Ivo Kahánek – piano, who joined to perform Mozart’s famous Kegelstatt Trio, K. 498, offers a unique experience, combining three worlds – the world of the strings, the winds, and pianos. Composers who found inspiration in Mozart’s courage to explore this instrumental combination have exposed the infinite variety of timbres and original technical possibilities of the instruments.

Legendary Czech guitar player Lubomír Brabec asked Jitka Hosprová to engage in collaboration, creating an incredibly interesting instrumental combination, popular especially in the music of the Romantic era.
The then composers with deep understanding of the virtuosity and technical possibilities of both instruments enabled today’s audience to take a look back and experience the atmosphere of salon concerts of high artistic quality. The players’ long-time collaboration was intensified by the recording of their joint CD Transformations on Multisonic label. The album features celebratory melodies and compositions for viola, guitar and orchestra.

Inspired by the exceptional compositions of Eduard Douša and Astor Piazzolla, the two original instrumentalists created a programme for the unusual combination of viola and accordion. Their repertoire contrasts popular pieces of the Baroque period and today. The programme also brings an interesting genre overlap based on classical music. The musicians have dozens of successful concerts and radio and TV recordings and shows to their credit.

The Trio Bohemia Luxembourg came into being as a combination of three strong personalities – two from the Czech Republic and a flutist from Luxembourg. Although their bond is their spontaneous love of chamber music, the ensemble draws also on the valuable historical ties between the two countries which, in the 14th century, were governed by the same highly successful dynasty. The trio performs not only on their “Home ground” in the Czech Republic and in Luxembourg, but also in other countries. Its members have a number of recordings to their credit. The trio has become a source of inspiration to living composers who have been writing works for this combination of instruments.
